- Next-day delivery across all seven emirates starts at about AED 17 per parcel. Same-day in Dubai costs about AED 35–60.
- For COD stores, remittance speed matters as much as price. Quiqup pays weekly and Jeebly guarantees seven days.
- Judge couriers on cost per delivered order. A 20% RTO rate can add a third to your headline delivery price.
- Official carrier apps are weak on Shopify, so many stores connect couriers through a 3PL or delivery software instead.
- For Saudi orders, use a courier with a UAE-to-KSA lane such as Aramex or Quiqup, and budget Saudi VAT plus a SAR 15 fee per parcel.
UAE shoppers expect their orders fast. Next-day is normal across the country, and same-day is common in Dubai.
The good news? You don't need your own vans to deliver like that. A handful of local couriers do it for about AED 17 a parcel, collect cash on delivery and send it back to you every week.
The UAE parcel market is worth about USD 1.3 billion, and ecommerce is its biggest growth engine. Couriers compete hard for online stores, which keeps prices low and service sharp.
Below, you'll see how the main UAE couriers compare on speed, price, COD payouts, returns and store integrations, plus which one fits your kind of store. It's part of our GCC logistics guides.
How does ecommerce delivery work in the UAE?
A courier collects parcels from your shop or 3PL warehouse, delivers them, and handles cash on delivery and returns. You pay per parcel.
The UAE is compact, which makes fast delivery cheap. A few things shape your choice:
- Speed tiers. Next-day is the standard. Same-day needs an order cut-off, usually around 11 am in Dubai. Express in a few hours costs far more.
- Addresses. Many UAE addresses are landmark-based. Couriers that call or WhatsApp customers and use map pins deliver first time more often.
- Cash on delivery (COD). It's a smaller share of orders than in Saudi Arabia, but most stores still offer it as a fallback. The courier collects the cash and pays it back to you.
- How you connect. You can plug a courier straight into your store, book through a 3PL (third-party logistics warehouse), or use delivery software that routes orders to several couriers.
Most growing stores end up with two couriers: one main partner and a backup for peak season or other emirates.

The main UAE couriers in brief
Jeebly
Jeebly is a Dubai courier built for small and mid-sized online stores. It publishes its prices, which is rare in this market. Next-day delivery costs AED 17.31 for up to 5 kg, with no zone surcharge.
Same-day starts at AED 28.56. Jeebly also markets 60-minute express in Dubai under its Jeebly Dash brand, plus weekend delivery. There's no minimum volume for COD.
Quiqup
Quiqup is a Dubai same-day and next-day specialist that also runs fulfilment and returns. It suits brands that care about the delivery experience, with 4-hour delivery slots.
Returns reach you within 48 hours in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and 72 hours elsewhere. It also runs a UAE-to-Saudi service.
Aramex
Aramex is the region's home-grown giant. It's based in Dubai, and Abu Dhabi's ADQ took majority control in 2025. It covers all six GCC countries and has the most mature COD and returns set-up.
Pricing is negotiated per account, so it gets cheaper as your volume grows. Its weak spot is software, so many Shopify stores connect it through an aggregator.
iMile and J&T Express
Both are Chinese-linked networks built for cross-border ecommerce. iMile is based in Dubai and focuses on China-to-GCC lanes, with COD and links to noon and Amazon.
J&T entered the UAE and Saudi Arabia in 2022 and offers Chinese-language support. Both shine on volume from Chinese factories, less on premium same-day.
Emirates Post, Shipa, Careem and DHL
These four fill specific gaps:
- Emirates Post. The national postal operator, now part of the 7X group. It delivers in 1–2 days with COD and is strongest for light parcels and remote areas.
- Shipa. Agility's delivery arm, with 500+ vehicles. It had the lowest COD fee in a 2025 Saudi aggregator comparison.
- Careem Box. On-demand delivery in about 45–60 minutes inside a city. Good for gifts, flowers and urgent orders.
- DHL Express. The pick for importing stock and premium international parcels. It isn't built for domestic COD.

How much does delivery cost in the UAE?
Next-day delivery for a small parcel costs about AED 17–30. Same-day costs roughly double that.
| Service | Typical price per parcel | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Next-day, all emirates | AED 17–30 | Jeebly publishes AED 17.31 up to 5 kg |
| Same-day, Dubai | AED 35–60 | Order by about 11 am |
| Same-day, Abu Dhabi | AED 40–65 | Order by about 11 am |
| Same-day, Sharjah or RAK | AED 45–75 | Earlier cut-off, around 10 am |
| Express (2–4 hours), Dubai or Abu Dhabi | AED 80–170 | Urban areas only |
| COD handling fee | AED 5–15 | Some couriers include it in the base rate |
| Failed-delivery re-attempt | AED 15–25 | Charged per extra attempt by many couriers |
Prices are for parcels under 5 kg. Weight is usually charged on the higher of actual or volumetric weight, which is length × width × height in cm divided by 5,000.
Above about 50 orders a day, couriers often go 15–25% below their rate cards (ClickPost). That's the moment to negotiate.
Worked example: what a delivery really costs
Headline prices hide the cost of failed COD deliveries. When a COD customer refuses a parcel, you pay to send it out and again to bring it back. That's RTO (return to origin).
Say a Dubai fashion store ships 500 orders a month on Jeebly's next-day rate. Of those, 40% are COD, with an AED 8 COD fee.
One in five COD parcels comes back.
| Line | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Prepaid orders | 300 × AED 17.31 | AED 5,193 |
| COD orders, outbound | 200 × AED 17.31 | AED 3,462 |
| COD fee on delivered orders | 160 × AED 8 | AED 1,280 |
| Return leg on refused orders | 40 × AED 17.31 | AED 692 |
| Total delivery cost | AED 10,627 | |
| Cost per delivered order | AED 10,627 ÷ 460 | AED 23.10 |
That's 33% above the AED 17.31 headline rate. And you also lost 40 sales.
Now add a WhatsApp confirmation before dispatch. Quiqup says that cuts RTO by 10–15 points.
At 10% RTO, the cost per delivered order drops to AED 21.75. You also deliver 20 more orders a month.

How fast do couriers pay out COD cash?
Weekly is the standard to aim for. Jeebly guarantees seven calendar days, and Quiqup pays weekly.
Smaller couriers sometimes hold COD cash for 7–14 days. At 200 COD orders a month, that's thousands of dirhams of your money sitting in someone else's account.
Before you sign, ask:
- What day of the week do you pay, and what's the cut-off?
- Do you send a reconciliation file listing every waybill?
- Are delivery and RTO fees deducted from the payout, or invoiced separately?
- Can customers pay by card at the door?
How to choose a UAE courier
Choose on four things: speed, cost per delivered order, COD payout speed and how cleanly the courier connects to your store.
- 1
Map where your orders go
Split last month's orders by emirate. Dubai-heavy stores can lean on same-day specialists; stores with lots of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or northern-emirate orders need strong UAE-wide next-day.
- 2
Decide on your speed promise
Next-day suits most products. Offer same-day only where it lifts conversion, such as gifts, beauty and fashion in Dubai.
- 3
Shortlist two or three couriers
Pick one local last-mile specialist, one network courier such as Aramex, and Emirates Post if you ship to remote areas.
- 4
Check the integration
Test the plugin or API with your store. Make sure labels, tracking updates and COD amounts sync without manual work.
- 5
Run a 30-day split test
Send similar orders through each courier. Track first-attempt delivery, RTO rate, customer complaints and COD payout days.
- 6
Negotiate at volume
Above about 50 orders a day, ask for 15–25% below published rates, weekly remittance and waived RTO fees.

Notes for Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla and Zid stores
Your platform decides how easily a courier plugs in:
- Shopify. Official carrier apps are weak, with the Aramex app rated 1.7 out of 5. Jeebly and Quiqup connect directly. Many stores route orders through delivery software such as Shipox or a 3PL like Locad, which links to 50+ carriers.
- WooCommerce. Jeebly and Quiqup both offer WooCommerce plugins. Test the plugin on a staging site before peak season.
- Salla and Zid. Couriers such as Aramex, SMSA and J&T are built in, with label printing and COD settings. The line-up is Saudi-led, so check UAE delivery coverage before you rely on it.

Notes for stores selling into Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the Gulf's biggest market, and a Dubai stockpile is a smart way to reach it:
- Cost and timing. A small parcel costs about SAR 55–98, from SMSA by land to Aramex express, and arrives in 2–5 days.
- Saudi tax. Online orders under SAR 1,000 pay no duty. Each parcel still pays 15% VAT plus a SAR 15 ZATCA customs fee.
- Faster option. Quiqup can act as importer of record and hold stock in Riyadh. It offers same-day there and next-day to major Saudi cities.
- Addresses. Since January 2026, every Saudi parcel needs a National Address. Make the Short Address a required checkout field.
The full route, including trucking stock, is in our guide to shipping from Dubai to Saudi Arabia.
Notes for Chinese sellers
iMile and J&T are the most China-connected couriers in the UAE. Both handle COD and offer support that understands China-side consolidation.
If you sell on noon or Amazon from a Chinese factory, iMile's marketplace links make it a natural first test. For a Shopify store, pair it with a Dubai 3PL so returns don't have to travel back to China.
What happened to Fetchr?
Fetchr was once the UAE's best-known delivery startup. In 2021 its top backer warned that it was insolvent and considering liquidation, so don't plan around it.
Its old space, app-based last-mile delivery for online stores, is now filled by Quiqup, Jeebly, Shipa and Careem Box.

Frequently asked questions
Jeebly is the easiest low price to get without a contract, because its next-day rate is published. Aramex often matches it once you have volume and a negotiated account. Compare quotes on cost per delivered order, not the base rate.
