Best Product Photography Studios in the Middle East

A product photography studio shoots the white-background, lifestyle and model images your Amazon, noon or Shopify listings need. In Dubai, published rates start around AED 50–150 per packshot, and Riyadh studios quote per shoot day or per SKU. Below are 13 independently researched studios, editing services and AI tools that serve Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Key takeaways
  • Pick the provider type by job: a local studio for models and lifestyle, an editing service for photos you shoot yourself, an AI tool for cheap backgrounds.
  • Dubai studios publish rates from about AED 50 per packshot on big catalogues. Small batches cost AED 150–250 per image.
  • Brief every studio to marketplace specs: pure white main image, product filling most of the frame, and the crops Amazon and noon need.
  • Shoot one modest, GCC-ready set with local faces. It works in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
  • Order a test set of 1–3 SKUs before you commit your whole catalogue.

Your photos do the selling on Amazon and noon, because shoppers can't touch the product. The images have to answer every question a shopper would ask in a store.

The good news? Getting marketplace-ready images in the Gulf is easier and cheaper than many sellers expect. Dubai has a busy market of ecommerce studios with published rate cards, and Riyadh studios now shoot with Saudi models and bilingual formats.

Below you'll find 13 independently researched providers, from Dubai and Riyadh studios to editing services and AI tools. You'll also get 2026 prices, the image specs to brief, and the questions to ask. It's part of our directory of GCC service providers.

When do you need a product photography studio?

You need a studio when your photos have to look professional and pass marketplace checks. That's usually the moment you list your first products on Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa, noon or your own Shopify store.

You'll want professional help when:

  • You're launching a new catalogue. Every SKU needs a white-background main image plus angles.
  • You sell fashion, beauty or jewellery. These categories need models, macro detail or careful retouching.
  • Your listings get rejected. Grey backgrounds, props and text on the main image are common reasons.
  • Your lifestyle images look foreign. Gulf shoppers respond to Gulf settings and familiar faces.

Do you always need a full studio? No.

A simple product on a white table can be shot on a phone and sent to an editing service for retouching. A studio earns its fee on models, lifestyle sets, video and large catalogues.

Which type of photography provider fits?

GCC sellers pick from five types of provider, and each one suits a different budget and job.

Product photography provider types for Saudi and UAE sellers.

A simple rule of thumb:

  • Fewer than 20 simple products? Shoot them yourself and use an editing service.
  • Fashion or a full launch? Book a local studio with models.
  • Listing overhaul on Amazon or noon? An agency can handle images, A+ content and copy together.

How much does product photography cost in the Gulf?

Dubai studios price per image, per package or per shoot day. Riyadh studios more often quote per shoot day or per SKU tier, without a public rate card.

The chart shows why volume matters. A studio's per-image price can fall by two thirds once your catalogue passes 50 SKUs.

Worked example: 15 products for a first launch

Say you're launching 15 home products on noon and Amazon.ae. Each needs four white-background shots and one lifestyle image, so 75 images in total.

RouteHow it's pricedCost before VAT
Dubai per-image studio60 packshots × AED 150–250, plus 15 lifestyle × AED 180–350AED 11,700–20,250
Dubai volume rate75 photos × AED 150AED 11,250
Dubai fixed packageStarter package, up to 20 productsAED 1,800
Shoot yourself + editing75 × US$0.95 + US$95 subscriptionAbout AED 610, plus your kit and time

The package looks like a bargain, and it can be. But confirm how many angles and lifestyle shots each "product" includes before you compare it with per-image rates.

For most first launches, a mix works best. Use a studio for the hero products and lifestyle sets, and an editing service for simple accessories.

What images do Amazon and noon need?

Both marketplaces want a clean main image on white and several supporting shots. Brief these rules to your studio before the shoot, so nothing needs redoing.

Ask your studio to shoot at high resolution and export each crop per marketplace. Some Dubai and Riyadh studios say they crop to Amazon, noon and Shopify ratios on set.

Full noon rules, including video and A+ content, are in our guide to noon product listing optimization.

Lifestyle and model shoots for Gulf shoppers

Lifestyle images sell the product in use, and in the Gulf they work best when the setting and the people feel local.

A photographer shooting a Saudi model in a loose long-sleeve abaya pouring Arabic coffee in a majlis-style studio set, with a stylist adjusting cushions and a lighting assistant holding a reflector
A Gulf lifestyle set: modest styling, a local face and a familiar home scene.

Brief your studio on these basics:

  • Modest styling. Shoulders, upper arms and knees covered, with loose, layered outfits.
  • Local faces. Saudi and Arab models for Saudi Arabia, and a mixed cast for the UAE.
  • Gulf settings. A majlis, a modern villa, a family kitchen, a car on a sunny day.
  • Things to leave out. Alcohol, wine glasses, dogs in home scenes and romantic poses.

One modest set usually works in both countries, which saves you a second shoot.

The full do and don't list is in our guide to cultural localization for the Gulf. For the rest of the page around your photos, see Saudi product pages that convert.

Can AI or CGI replace a product shoot?

For simple products, often yes. AI tools remove backgrounds and place your product in generated lifestyle scenes for a few dollars a month, with no studio booking.

Here's where each option fits:

  • AI backgrounds. Pebblely starts at US$9 a month for 30 images. Good for secondary images and social posts.
  • AI white backgrounds. Photoroom turns your own shots into compliant main images in bulk.
  • CGI renders. Some Dubai studios offer CGI listing images. These suit products that don't exist yet, or furniture that's costly to stage.
  • Real shoots. Still the best choice for apparel on models, beauty textures and premium brands.

The catch? An AI image must show the real product exactly. If the colour, size or finish differs from what arrives, expect returns and listing problems.

How do you brief a product photography studio?

A clear brief gets you an accurate quote and images you don't need to redo. Send the same brief to every studio on your shortlist so the quotes compare like for like.

  1. 1

    List your SKUs and variants

Give the number of products, colours and sizes. Say which ones need models.

  2. 2

Set a shot list per SKU

For example: white main, back, side, detail, scale, lifestyle and infographic. Mark which marketplaces each one is for.

  3. 3

    Attach the marketplace specs

Pure white main image, product fill, minimum size and file format for Amazon, noon and your store.

  4. 4

    Describe the look

Share two or three reference images, the setting and the modest-styling rules for any models.

  5. 5

    Ask for Arabic deliverables

Infographics and A+ banners with Arabic labels, and file names that match your SKUs.

  6. 6

    Agree turnaround and rights

Delivery date, re-edit rounds, raw files and a licence for ads and every sales channel.

  7. 7

    Start with a test set

Shoot 1–3 SKUs first. Check colour accuracy and marketplace approval before booking the rest.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask every studio the same questions, because clear answers in writing make the quotes easy to compare.

Questions to ask a product photography studio
0%

Saudi Arabia or the UAE: where should you shoot?

Shoot where your products already are. If stock sits in a Dubai free zone, a Dubai studio saves you shipping samples across the border. If you sell mainly to Saudi shoppers, a Riyadh studio gives you Saudi models and settings.

Riyadh studios focus on brands selling on Salla, Zid, Amazon.sa and noon.

  • Ask for Salla and Zid formats as well as Amazon.sa and noon crops.
  • Ask for Saudi models and bilingual Arabic and English packshot variants.
  • Darb Productions says it delivers standard catalogues within the week, with a 48-hour rush option.

See our Saudi studio list.

Notes for Chinese sellers

  • Shoot before you ship. A Chinese studio or the factory can shoot white-background sets cheaply.
  • Localise afterwards. Add Arabic infographics and Gulf lifestyle images once the packshots are done.
  • Check colours against real samples. Factory photos often look brighter than the goods that arrive.
  • Swap the models. Replace East Asian or Western lifestyle images with modest Gulf shots.

For the full route, see Amazon Middle East for Chinese sellers.

Notes for fashion and beauty brands

  • Plan modest looks before the shoot. Long sleeves, layers and longer hemlines for every key outfit.
  • Book ghost mannequin shots. Several Dubai studios offer them for marketplace main images.
  • Show model height and size worn. It cuts size-related returns.
  • Use macro for textures. Lipsticks, creams and jewellery need close-ups that phones can't match.

Abayas and kanduras are big categories of their own, and some Dubai photographers shoot them regularly.

Frequently asked questions

Plan on six to eight per product. That's one white-background main image, three or four angles and details, one lifestyle shot and one infographic with Arabic labels. Noon asks for at least three, so a full set puts you well ahead of the minimum.
