- A done-for-you Shopify build for brands selling in Dubai and the wider UAE, from first plan to launch and support.
- We set up Shopify Payments, Tabby or Tamara, and cash on delivery so every shopper finds a way to pay.
- Your store launches bilingual, with Arabic product details, terms and checkout text that UAE rules expect.
- Courier, aggregator or 3PL connections and delivery rules are tested before your first order ships.
- You bring the trade licence, bank account and products. We handle the build.
Dubai shoppers are online all day, pay by phone and expect their order the same day or the next. For a brand with its own store, that's a market ready to buy.
Shopify is the natural platform for it. Thousands of UAE brands already run on it, and the UAE is the only Gulf country where Shopify Payments works.
It's also getting easier. Since October 2026, Shopify's checkout and Horizon themes render right to left for Arabic shoppers.
But a store that sells well in London won't automatically sell well in Dubai. Local payments, Arabic, couriers and licence details all need setting up properly.
That's what we do. We build Shopify stores for UAE shoppers, so your launch day brings orders instead of support tickets.
Who this service is for
This is for brands that want a professional Shopify store selling in the UAE, without learning every local setting themselves.
It usually suits one of these sellers:
- New Dubai brands launching their first online store, often from a free zone company.
- Established retailers with showrooms or Instagram sales who want a proper store of their own.
- Foreign brands setting up a UAE entity and needing a store that feels local.
- Marketplace sellers on noon or Amazon.ae who want their own channel and customer list.
The outcome is simple: a fast, bilingual store with the right payment options, delivery set-up and legal details, ready to take orders.

What's included in a Dubai Shopify build
Every project is scoped to your brand, but most builds include the same core pieces. Here's what you get:
- Store setup. Shopify account, plan advice, AED pricing, taxes and store policies configured for a UAE business.
- Theme and design. A fast, mobile-first theme that mirrors cleanly for Arabic (right-to-left), styled to your brand.
- Payments. Shopify Payments with Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus a backup gateway if your business needs one.
- Buy now, pay later. Tabby and/or Tamara apps installed, with instalment widgets on product and cart pages.
- Cash on delivery. COD turned on with an order form and phone verification to cut refused parcels.
- Arabic store. Arabic language set up, menus and key pages edited by a native speaker, checkout and notifications translated.
- Shipping. Courier, aggregator or 3PL connected, with delivery zones and free-shipping rules for the emirates.
- Legal store details. Licence information, returns policy, Arabic terms and VAT-inclusive prices on the right pages.
- Apps and tracking. Reviews, WhatsApp, analytics and ad pixels installed and tested.
- Product upload. Your catalogue imported with clean collections, filters and images.
- Training and handover. A walkthrough for your team and written notes on how everything is set up.

New build, theme customisation or fix-up?
Not every brand needs a store built from zero. In discovery, we'll recommend one of three routes based on your catalogue, brand and budget:
| Route | Best for | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Theme-based build | New brands that want to launch and learn | A proven RTL-ready theme, styled to your brand, with all UAE set-up done |
| Custom design | Brands with a strong visual identity or unusual products | Bespoke page layouts and sections, built on Shopify's theme framework |
| Audit and fix-up | Existing stores that work in English but miss UAE pieces | Arabic, BNPL, COD, couriers and legal details added to what you have |
Most first-time UAE stores do best on a strong theme. You get to market sooner and spend the saved effort on photos, content and ads.
A custom design makes sense once you know what your shoppers respond to. We'll tell you plainly which route fits, even if it's the smaller project.
How it works
Five stages take you from first call to a live store. You're involved at the start and at sign-off, and we handle the rest.
- 1
Discovery
We learn what you sell, who buys it and how you want to grow. We also check your licence, bank and catalogue status, so the plan fits where your business is today.
- 2
Plan
You get a written scope: pages, features, apps, payment and delivery set-up, plus milestones. Timing depends on scope, and we agree it with you before building starts.
- 3
Build
We design the store, upload your products, set up Arabic and connect payments, BNPL, COD and couriers. You review on a preview link and give feedback at each milestone.
- 4
Launch
We run test orders on every payment method, check the Arabic store on a phone and confirm courier bookings. Then we switch the store live with you.
- 5
Support
We watch the first orders, fix anything that needs it and train your team. Ongoing help is available when the support period ends.
Why a UAE store needs a UAE-specific build
Shopify is global, but UAE shoppers have their own habits. These four details make the biggest difference to sales.
Shopify Payments works here, if the paperwork is right
With Shopify Payments, cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay run through Shopify itself. You pay the card rate, but no extra Shopify transaction fee.
That fee adds up. Every other gateway costs 2% of each order on the Basic plan, on top of the gateway's own rate. A store taking AED 100,000 a month through one would hand Shopify AED 2,000 of it.
To activate it, Shopify needs a UAE company, mainland or free zone, and an AED business account with an IBAN starting "AE". We prepare the store so approval is a quick step, not a launch blocker.
Tabby, Tamara and COD sit alongside cards
Many UAE shoppers prefer to split payments with Tabby or Tamara, especially in fashion, beauty and electronics. Both add apps to Shopify, and both need a merchant contract first.
They count as third-party gateways, so Shopify's transaction fee applies to BNPL orders. If BNPL will carry a big share of your sales, we'll show you when a higher plan pays for itself.
Cash on delivery still matters for new brands. Plan for a share of early orders to choose it, which falls as reviews build trust.
We set up all three so nobody leaves your checkout for lack of a way to pay. The full picture of how Gulf shoppers pay is in our GCC payment methods guide.
Arabic is part of the rules, not just a nice extra
Plenty of Dubai shoppers browse in English, and an English-first store is normal. But UAE consumer rules expect Arabic product details, terms and invoices.
There's a catch: Arabic isn't one of the languages Shopify pre-translates in checkout. If nobody translates it, Arabic shoppers hit English at the final step.
We build the Arabic store properly, from right-to-left layout to checkout text. Our Arabic Shopify guide explains what's involved.
Dubai couriers connect differently
Same-day delivery is common in Dubai, and next-day is expected in the big cities. But most local couriers don't plug into Shopify's built-in carrier list.
So we connect them through the right app, aggregator or 3PL for your volume. Delivery rules are set to your plan, since live courier rates at checkout depend on your Shopify plan.

What you need to provide
A smooth build needs a few things from your side. Most of them take time to arrange, so start early:
- A UAE trade licence with an e-commerce activity. Free zone and mainland both work. Our UAE e-commerce licence guide compares the routes.
- An AED business bank account in your company's name, for Shopify Payments payouts.
- Your brand assets: logo, colours, fonts and any style guide.
- Product data: names, descriptions, prices, variants and good photos.
- Policies: returns, delivery areas and any fees you plan to charge.
- Merchant accounts, or the go-ahead to apply, for Tabby, Tamara and your courier.
- One decision-maker who can review milestones and sign off.
Missing something? That's normal. Tell us in discovery, and we'll plan around it.

Notes for free zone companies
Free zone companies are the most common setup we see for new Dubai online brands. A few things are worth knowing:
- Shopify Payments accepts free zone entities. Free Zone LLCs and Free Zone Sole Establishments are both on Shopify's list.
- Check the activity on your licence. It should cover e-commerce, because UAE law treats online selling as a licensed activity.
- Your store must show your licence details. We add your legal name, licence number and issuing authority where shoppers can find them.
- Banks are often the slowest step. Apply for your AED account the day your licence arrives, and we'll keep building in parallel.
Notes for foreign brands
Selling into the UAE from abroad? The store build is the same, but the order of steps changes:
- Shopify Payments needs a UAE entity. Without one, you take cards through a third-party gateway and pay Shopify's transaction fee on every order.
- A free zone company can be fully foreign-owned, which makes a local entity easier to set up than many brands expect.
- Stock location shapes delivery. A Dubai 3PL gives you next-day delivery, while shipping from abroad means longer waits and more questions at checkout.
- Prices should be in dirhams. Shoppers trust prices they don't have to convert, and BNPL providers settle in AED.
Notes for marketplace sellers
Already selling on noon or Amazon.ae? Good. You've proved demand, and you have products, photos and reviews to build on.
Your own Shopify store adds what marketplaces don't give you: your customer list, your brand experience and a higher margin on repeat orders. We set it up to run alongside your marketplace accounts, with stock and order flows that don't trip over each other.
Tell us about your store
Share what you sell, where you are with your licence and what you'd like the store to do. We'll reply with questions and suggest a sensible next step.

Frequently asked questions
No. We can plan and build the store while your licence is in progress. You do need a UAE trade licence and an AED account before Shopify Payments can go live, so we schedule that step around your paperwork.
