Zid Pricing 2026: Every Plan, Zid Pay Fee and Real Cost

Zid is free to start. Rise costs SAR 99 a month (SAR 990 a year) and unlocks card payments; Growth costs SAR 299 a month (SAR 2,990 a year) and adds VAT invoice settings. Zid Pay charges from 1% + SAR 1 per mada payment, with no commission on sales.

Key takeaways
  • Zid has four plans: Starter (free), Rise (SAR 99 a month or SAR 990 a year), Growth (SAR 299 a month or SAR 2,990 a year) and Pro (custom quote). Prices are ex-VAT.
  • Zid takes no commission on sales. Your main running cost is Zid Pay: 1% + SAR 1 on mada, and 2.3–2.4% + SAR 1 on Visa and Mastercard, depending on your plan.
  • Payouts land three times a week, with a SAR 3 deposit fee that disappears if you bank with Riyad Bank.
  • A store selling SAR 15,000 a month pays about SAR 4,100 in year one on Rise. At SAR 150,000 a month, Growth costs about SAR 29,700, or 1.65% of sales.
  • Zid and Salla share the same plan prices. Zid's published mada rate is lower than the rate Salla merchants report, and both beat Shopify's extra fees in Saudi Arabia.

Zid costs nothing to start. You pay SAR 99 a month once you want card payments and your own domain.

There's no commission on your sales. Instead, you pay a small fee on each card payment through Zid Pay, Zid's built-in gateway.

That makes Zid one of the cheapest ways to run a real Saudi store. Below you'll find every 2026 plan, every Zid Pay fee by card type, and the full year-one bill at three sales levels.

How much does Zid cost in 2026?

Zid has four plans. All prices are in Saudi riyals and exclude 15% VAT.

The jump that matters most is Starter to Rise. Starter can't take cards, so it's for building and testing. Real selling starts on Rise.

Monthly or yearly: which should you pay?

Paying yearly gets you 12 months for the price of 10. Rise drops to about SAR 83 a month, and Growth to about SAR 249.

Monthly billing costs more, but it's flexible. You can test Zid for a few months and walk away without losing a year's fee.

Zid also runs promotions through the year. For example, its National Day offer this year gave busy stores cashback per order and a free extra year.

Which Zid plan do you need?

Most new stores need Rise. Move up only when one of these triggers applies:

  • Pick Starter while you build the store, add products and test the design.
  • Pick Rise to launch. You get your domain, mada, Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and BNPL.
  • Pick Growth when you register for VAT or hire help. It adds tax invoice settings and five staff seats.
  • Ask about Pro when you pass about SAR 100,000 a month, need many seats or run several branches.

VAT is the trigger most sellers hit first. Registration becomes mandatory once your taxable sales pass SAR 375,000 a year.

Our Saudi VAT guide explains the thresholds and how to register.

Zid Pay fees: what each card costs

Zid Pay charges a percentage of each payment plus a fixed fee. There's no setup fee, no monthly fee and no extra charge on refunds.

The rate depends on the card and your plan:

Visa and Mastercard2.4% + SAR 12.3% + SAR 12.2% + SAR 0.75

Tabby, Tamara and other BNPLNo Zid fee; BNPL provider's own rateSameSame

Zid publishes the Growth rates on its payments page. The Rise and Pro rates are the ones Hussam Baaka lists in his Salla and Zid fee calculator (October 2026).

Here's how one payment works out. Zid's help centre uses a SAR 100 mada order on Growth:

  • Fee: 1% of the order plus SAR 1, so SAR 2.
  • VAT on the fee: SAR 0.30.
  • You receive: SAR 97.70.

Mada is the card most Saudis carry, and they often tap it through Apple Pay. So for most stores, the 1% rate covers the bulk of orders.

Payouts and deposit fees

Zid deposits your money every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Each deposit needs at least SAR 100 in your balance.

Each deposit costs SAR 3. At about 12 deposits a month, that's roughly SAR 430 a year, and a Riyad Bank account waives it.

BNPL, STC Pay and cash on delivery

Zid adds no charge for Tabby, Tamara, MISPay, Emkan or Madfu. The BNPL (buy now, pay later) provider bills you under its own contract instead.

Sellers typically report BNPL merchant fees of about 3–6% per order. That's higher than a card, but BNPL often lifts basket sizes in fashion, electronics and beauty.

STC Pay comes with Zid Pay too. Cash on delivery (COD) carries no Zid fee at all, but your courier charges to collect the cash.

Which BNPL should you switch on first? Our Tabby vs Tamara comparison answers that.

Zid Ship: shipping costs

Zid Ship is Zid's built-in courier hub. It connects you to 35 shipping companies, including Aramex, SMSA, J&T, Naqel and Saudi Post, through one contract.

You can pay per shipment at the price shown in your dashboard, or buy prepaid label bundles. Zid advertised bundle prices from SAR 14 per label and savings of up to 30%.

Zid adds nothing on top of the shipping price, even on returned parcels. That's a real plus when COD refusals come back.

For context, a Riyadh to Jeddah parcel through a shipping aggregator costs about SAR 14–22. Our Saudi couriers guide compares rates and COD fees by carrier.

Apps and themes: the optional extras

You can run a good Zid store with no paid extras. Rise includes a library of 50+ themes, and many are free.

Paid extras come from Zid's two marketplaces:

  • Themes. Zid's theme market sells premium designs from local studios. Most let you preview the design on a demo store before you pay.
  • Apps. Zid has 400+ apps for reviews, loyalty, WhatsApp cart recovery and accounting.
  • How apps bill. Developers set monthly, yearly or usage-based plans in SAR, often with a free trial. Zid collects the payment, so you won't get a separate invoice from the developer.

Budget about SAR 50 a month per paid app. Start with one or two, and add more only when a real problem needs fixing.

What does Zid really cost? Three worked examples

The subscription is the smallest part of the bill once you sell. Card fees grow with your sales, so they soon become the biggest line.

Here are three Saudi stores, each paying yearly:

  • Store A sells SAR 15,000 a month on Rise, at SAR 200 per order.
  • Store B sells SAR 50,000 a month on Growth, because it's VAT-registered. Its average order is SAR 250.
  • Store C sells SAR 150,000 a month on Growth, at SAR 300 per order.

All three take 60% of orders by mada. Visa or Mastercard and COD take a fifth each.

Store B runs two paid apps and Store C runs four.

Your cost as a share of sales falls as you grow. Store C pays well under 2%.

Shipping isn't in these totals, because you usually pass it to the customer or build it into your prices.

Is Pro worth it for a big store?

Pro's lower card rates would save Store C about SAR 1,560 a year. Add that to the SAR 2,990 it already pays for Growth. If Zid quotes less than about SAR 4,550 a year for Pro, the upgrade pays for itself.

Ask for a quote once you pass about SAR 100,000 a month. Pro also brings 20 staff seats, which helps if you run a team or several branches.

Zid vs Salla vs Shopify: which costs less?

On subscriptions, Zid and Salla are twins. Both charge the same monthly and yearly prices on their two paid plans.

The difference is in payment fees and platform extras. Here's Store B, selling SAR 50,000 a month, on each platform's VAT-ready plan:

Zid's published mada rate gives it the edge over Salla at this size, unless you negotiate Salla's mada rate down. Shopify costs the most in Saudi Arabia, because Shopify Payments isn't available there and its extra fee sits on top of your gateway.

The picture changes in the UAE, where Shopify Payments works. For the full plan-by-plan Salla figures, see our Salla pricing guide.

How to keep your Zid bill low

A few simple habits cut your costs without hurting sales:

  1. 1

    Start free, launch on Rise

Build on Starter, then upgrade only when you're ready for card payments.

  2. 2

Switch to yearly once you're sure

Twelve months for the price of ten, plus any seasonal offer Zid is running.

  3. 3

    Push mada and Apple Pay

They're your cheapest payment methods. Show them first at checkout.

  4. 4

    Bank with Riyad Bank

Deposits become free, which saves about SAR 430 a year.

  5. 5

    Control COD

Add a small COD fee or confirm orders by WhatsApp to cut refused parcels.

  6. 6

    Review your apps every quarter

Cancel anything you aren't using. Each one costs around SAR 600 a year.

Notes for VAT-registered stores

  • You need Growth or higher for VAT invoice and tax settings.
  • Zid issues ZATCA-ready e-invoices, so you don't need a separate app.
  • You can usually reclaim the 15% VAT on Zid's subscription and fees as input tax.
  • Our ZATCA e-invoicing guide covers the 2027 rollout deadlines.

Notes for high-value and international sales

  • Zid caps the mada fee at SAR 200 per order before VAT, which helps jewellery, furniture and electronics stores.
  • Amex and foreign cards cost the most, at 3.2–3.4% plus the fixed fee. Expect more of them if you sell to Gulf tourists or expats.
  • Zid's "Go Global" option lets you show prices in other currencies.

Notes for shops with branches

  • The POS app is free on every plan, so you can test your shop till before you pay.
  • Seats are the usual reason to upgrade: Rise has one, Growth five and Pro twenty.
  • Pro's lower card rates also help when your shop and online sales share one Zid Pay account.

Notes for stores planning to switch platforms

  • Zid doesn't lock you in with long contracts. Monthly billing lets you leave at the end of any month.
  • Price your new platform's full stack, including payment fees and apps, not just the subscription.
  • Our Zid to Shopify migration service moves your data and keeps your Google rankings.

Frequently asked questions

You don't need one. The Starter plan is free forever, with unlimited products and orders. You can build and test your whole store on it, then upgrade to Rise when you're ready to take card payments.
