- You need a UAE trade licence with a trading or e-commerce activity. A free-zone e-commerce licence is the quickest route, from about AED 6,000 a year.
- VAT is optional at the start. Noon UAE accepts non-VAT sellers, and registration becomes mandatory once sales and imports pass AED 375,000.
- Most products pay a 14–15% commission, plus about AED 8–10 per order if noon stores and ships your stock (FBN).
- Noon pays weekly, every Thursday, once your balance reaches AED 1,000.
- A UAE store is also your door to Saudi Arabia: Global Store lists your products there on the UAE rate card.
Noon was born in Dubai, and the UAE is still its home turf. It's also one of the easiest marketplaces in the Gulf to join.
You need a UAE trade licence, an ID and a company bank account. VAT can wait until your sales grow.
Most sellers with a licence in hand are approved within days. Many see their first orders within two weeks.
New to noon altogether? Start with our beginner's guide to selling on noon.
Why sell on noon in the UAE?
The UAE is the Gulf's most digital market. Almost everyone is online, shoppers are wealthy, and they expect next-day delivery.
Noon was founded in Dubai and runs fully in English and Arabic. That suits a country where most residents are expats and many shop in both languages.
Here's what makes it worth your time:
- Shoppers with money to spend. Online retail is about 16% of all UAE retail, a high share for the region.
- Less competition than Amazon. UAE sellers and agencies consistently say a good new listing on noon reaches page one faster.
- Lightning delivery. Noon Express gets FBN orders to shoppers within 24 hours, and Supermall can deliver in about 45–90 minutes.
- Cheap ads. Sellers report long-tail Arabic clicks well under AED 1, and new advertisers get 500 ad credits.
- A springboard to Saudi Arabia. Your UAE stock can sell to Saudi shoppers through Global Store, with no Saudi company.
Smaller sellers win here too. One Chinese seller sold 70,000 motion-sensor night lights in 30 days across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

What do you need to sell on noon UAE?
You need a UAE company with a trade licence. Noon doesn't accept individuals or personal bank accounts, but the document list is short.
Here's what noon UAE asks for:
- UAE trade licence. Mainland or free zone, valid for at least 30 more days. Its activities must include trading, sales, distribution or e-commerce. Service-only licences are rejected.
- VAT certificate, or "Non-VAT Registered". If you're not registered yet, you simply tick that box.
- ID of the person on the licence. An Emirates ID or a passport. Non-nationals are often asked for their residence visa too. If someone else runs the account, add a Power of Attorney.
- Company bank account. A cancelled cheque, a stamped bank letter or a bank statement, in the company's legal name.
- An email and a phone number with WhatsApp for login codes and updates.
Which UAE licence should you get?
No licence yet? A free-zone e-commerce licence is the usual choice for new noon sellers. It's 100% foreign-owned, quick to issue and often includes a visa.
| Licence | Typical year-1 cost | Setup time | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free zone e-commerce (e.g. RAKEZ, Meydan) | About AED 10,250–25,000 with one visa | Under 1 hour to 24 hours | Most new noon sellers, incl. foreign owners |
| DMCC e-commerce | AED 30,000+ | About 10 working days | Brands wanting a premium Dubai address |
| Mainland (DET or another emirate) | AED 20,000–40,000+ incl. office | Several weeks | Shops, showrooms and heavy onshore retail |
| Dubai eTrader | About AED 1,370 | Online application | UAE and GCC nationals selling from home |
Ask your zone to confirm in writing that the licence covers online trading of your products. Our UAE e-commerce licence guide walks through each option, step by step.
Which route fits you?
Not based in the UAE? You can still sell to UAE shoppers on noon:
| You are | Route | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| A UAE company | Local seller | UAE trade licence (trading or e-commerce), ID, UAE company bank account. VAT once you pass AED 375,000 |
| A Chinese company | noon Global Shipping | Chinese business licence only. Noon handles freight, customs and VAT |
| Any other foreign company | International seller | Home-country licence, a UAE VAT certificate from the FTA, and Payoneer or LianLian for payouts |
| A Saudi company | Local seller on noon KSA | Start with our noon Saudi Arabia guide |
How to register on noon UAE, step by step
Registration takes about an hour once your documents are scanned. Everything happens in Seller Lab, noon's seller dashboard.
- 1
Create your account
Go to sell.noon.com and choose Register Now. Verify your email and phone with one-time codes. You'll get an Organization ID for all your noon stores.
- 2
Create your UAE store
Choose Start Selling, pick the UAE, then your country of registration. Enter your store name in English and Arabic. Brand names can't be used as store names.
- 3
Add your legal entity
Upload your trade licence as a PDF; noon fills in the details. Add your TRN and dates, or tick Non-VAT Registered. Then add the ID of the person on the licence and your bank details.
- 4
Wait for the eligibility review
Noon aims to review within 24–48 working hours, and sellers often allow about a week. If something's wrong, use Fix Issue in the Setup Guide and resubmit.
- 5
Link the entity to your store
Once approved, connect the legal entity to your UAE store under Store Management, then Legal & Payment.
- 6
Sign the agreement
The authorised signatory signs noon's terms and conditions digitally.
- 7
List your first products
Add products one by one or in bulk. Each listing passes a quality check before it goes live.
Two things can't be changed later: your legal name and your store currency. Enter them exactly as they appear on your licence.
Most rejections come from a licence whose activities don't include trading. The noon seller registration guide lists every document for each type of seller.
How to list your products on noon UAE
Listings work the same way in every noon store. You add your offer to an existing product page or create a new one, and noon checks it within 2–3 business days.
What's different in the UAE is the audience. Shoppers search in both English and Arabic, so you need both.
- English is required for a listing to go live.
- Arabic decides your reach. Noon doesn't translate for you, and English-only products may not appear on the Arabic site.
- Regulated goods need approval. Electricals, toys, cosmetics and some other products need UAE conformity (ECAS) or municipality approval. See UAE ECAS certification.
Titles, images and bullets follow the same rules as every other noon store.
FBN or FBP: how will you fulfil UAE orders?
With FBN (Fulfilled by noon), noon stores your stock in its Dubai fulfilment centre in Jebel Ali Free Zone and ships every order. With FBP (Fulfilled by Partner), you keep the stock, and noon collects each order or you drop it off.
| FBN (noon Express) | FBP (DirectShip) | |
|---|---|---|
| Who holds the stock | Noon's Jebel Ali fulfilment centre | You |
| Who packs and ships | Noon | You pack; noon collects or you drop off |
| Badge shoppers see | noon Express, delivery as fast as 24 hours | Standard delivery |
| Fee per order | AED 8–10 (standard parcel up to 1 kg) | AED 12–14 (parcel up to 0.25 kg), partly refunded from the shopper's shipping fee |
| Monthly storage | AED 1.75 per cubic foot | None |
| Returns | Noon handles them | Noon collects; you inspect |
| Best for | Fast-moving, small or light products | Bulky items, wide catalogues, testing demand |
For most new UAE sellers, FBN is the better start. Noon says the Express badge lifts conversion by about 60%, and most big deals favour FBN stock.
FBP suits bulky goods or sellers who already run a UAE warehouse. Noon also refunds part of your shipping cost from the fee the shopper paid, so small orders cost you less. Pickups close at 10:00, and Sunday is the logistics holiday in the UAE.

The Jebel Ali warehouse is also the base for Global Store orders to Saudi Arabia, which makes FBN doubly useful.
How much does it cost to sell on noon UAE?
There's no sign-up fee and no monthly subscription. You pay when you sell or store stock:
- Commission (referral fee). A percentage of each sale's price. Most categories pay 14–15%, electronics far less and fashion more. The minimum is AED 1 per item.
- FBN fee. A per-order charge for picking, packing and delivery. A standard parcel up to 1 kg costs up to AED 10, and lighter or cheaper items pay less.
- Storage. AED 1.75 per cubic foot per month since 1 October. Stock held over a year costs AED 25 per cubic foot, so keep it moving.
If a return is your fault, such as an item not as described, noon charges the lesser of AED 15 or 20% of the commission.
Worked example: an AED 99 toy building set on FBN
Let's price a children's building-block set. It sells for AED 99 including VAT and weighs 0.8 kg. Its box is a little smaller than a shoebox.
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Shelf price (incl. 5% VAT) | AED 99.00 |
| Commission (toys, 14%) | − AED 13.86 |
| FBN fee (standard parcel up to 1 kg) | − AED 10.00 |
| Storage (0.21 cubic feet, one month) | − AED 0.37 |
| Noon fees in total | AED 24.23 (24.5%) |
| VAT you pass to the FTA | − AED 4.71 |
| What you keep before product cost and ads | AED 70.06 |
So noon keeps about a quarter of the price. Say the set costs you AED 30 landed in Dubai, and you spend AED 10 a unit on ads. That leaves about AED 30 profit per set.
Not VAT-registered yet? Then you don't charge the AED 4.71 VAT. But you can't reclaim the 5% VAT noon adds to its fees, which costs you about AED 1.21 here.
Try it with your own product
Enter your price, category and size. The calculator uses noon's current UAE rate card and leaves out storage, which adds only a few fils per unit.

How and when does noon UAE pay you?
Noon pays weekly. It creates a statement every Wednesday, covering delivered orders minus returns, and pays it the following Thursday.
The money reaches a UAE bank in 1–2 business days. Your balance decides how often you're paid:
- AED 1,000 or more: paid every week.
- AED 50 to 1,000: rolled over and paid once a month.
- AED 50 or less: held until your balance grows.
Payouts go to the company account you added at registration, in AED. Spot a mistake on a statement? Raise it within 15 days, with the order numbers.
How do you get your first sales on noon UAE?
FBN stock, bilingual listings and a small ads budget are the fastest route. Here's a realistic first month once your licence is ready:
- Day 1Register
Create your account, UAE store and legal entity in Seller Lab.
- Days 2–7Get approved
Noon reviews your documents. Use the time to shoot photos and write Arabic titles.
- Week 2List and pass QC
Upload your first 10–20 products. Quality checks take 2–3 business days.
- Weeks 2–3Send stock to Jebel Ali
Book an FBN inbound shipment. Dubai-based sellers can often deliver within days.
- Week 3Switch on ads
Start sponsored product ads as soon as your stock is live.
- Week 4First payout
Once delivered sales pass AED 1,000, your first weekly payout lands on a Thursday.
Then focus on four things:
- Run ads from day one. Dubai agencies suggest starting at about AED 50 a day. One UAE agency tracked a product earning about AED 4 in sales for every AED 1 of ads.
- Win the Buy Box. Several sellers can offer the same product, and a sharp price plus FBN wins the sale.
- Plan your peaks. Yellow Friday usually runs from about 20 November to month-end, and Ramadan and the Dubai Shopping Festival follow. Book deals up to 30 days ahead.
- Watch your stock. Check FBN stock reports every week, because inventory mismatches are the most common seller complaint.
Bids, keywords and campaign setup are covered in our noon ads guide.
Sell into Saudi Arabia from your UAE store
Here's a perk only UAE sellers get. Global Store lists your UAE products on noon Saudi Arabia, with no Saudi company or Saudi VAT.
- Who can join. A UAE VAT-registered company with UAE warehouse or FBN stock, and no existing Saudi noon store.
- Fees. You pay the UAE rate card, with no extra cross-border fee.
- Pricing. Noon converts your price automatically, so AED 100 becomes about SAR 112 before duties.
- Paperwork. Each product needs a 12-digit Saudi HS code and a country of origin.
- Payouts. Paid in USD to your UAE account.
Saudi Arabia has three times the UAE's population, so it's the biggest growth step a UAE seller can take. Ready? Register for UAE VAT first, then activate Global Store in Seller Lab.
Notes for foreign brands
US, European, Indian and other foreign companies can sell on noon UAE as international sellers. You'll need your home-country licence and a UAE VAT certificate from the Federal Tax Authority.
The AED 375,000 threshold doesn't apply to non-resident businesses, so register for VAT before your first sale. Payouts go through Payoneer or LianLian.
Many foreign brands find a UAE free-zone company simpler in the end. It lets you hold FBN stock in your own name and unlocks Global Store. See how foreign companies sell on noon.
Notes for Chinese sellers
Noon Global Shipping (NGS) is the easiest way in. You need only a Chinese business licence, with no UAE company or VAT.
- How it works. You drop orders at noon's Shenzhen hub, and noon handles freight, customs, VAT and delivery.
- Reach. One account reaches the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
- Pricing. You set a USD transfer price and receive exactly that after delivery.
The onboarding steps are in our noon Global Shipping guide.
Notes for fashion and electronics sellers
Category fees vary more than anything else on noon UAE:
- Fashion pays the most. Apparel and footwear pay 27%. On an AED 79 T-shirt, noon's fees come to about 40% of the price.
- Electronics pay the least. Mobiles pay just 5–6%. On an AED 1,200 phone, fees are about 6% in total.
- Compare first. Run both through the calculator above, and check Amazon.ae's rates before you choose.

Frequently asked questions
No. Noon UAE needs a valid trade licence in the company's name, and personal accounts are rejected. The fastest fix is a free-zone e-commerce licence, which some zones issue in under an hour. Chinese companies are the exception: noon Global Shipping needs only a Chinese business licence.
